Here are some general descriptions of coverage available under a Progressive motorcycle insurance policy. Please keep in mind that these descriptions do not describe all of the terms, conditions, limitations, or exclusions found in your policy, nor do they modify or change your policy. To fully understand your coverage please refer to your policy. Coverage for an accident is subject to the terms and conditions of the specific policy issued to you.

Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability coverage

(Coverage for Injury or Damage that You Cause to Someone Else)

Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability Coverage covers your legal liability for an accident where there is damage or injury for someone else up to the limit of liability you select. Your insurance company pays for the cost to replace or repair damaged property, the medical bills and wage loss incurred by an injured person, and other damages you are legally obligated to pay as result of an accident. Some states have special requirements for Guest Passenger Liability.

Guest Passenger Liability

Provides protection for legal liability in the event that a guest passenger is injured on the insured motorcycle.

Comprehensive & Collision (Coverage for Damage to or Theft of Your Motorcycle)

Comprehensive and Collision Coverage covers the cost to repair or replace your motorcycle if it is stolen or damaged in an accident, no matter who is at fault. You share in this cost by paying a deductible. Under Collision Coverage, your insurance company pays for damage caused when you collide with another vehicle or object. Under Comprehensive Coverage, your insurance company pays for damage caused by an event other than collision, such as fire, theft, or vandalism.

Coverage for Injuries and Damages Caused by an Uninsured or Underinsured Driver

Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury Coverage pays for medical treatment, wage loss, and other damages you would have received from the other person's insurance company, had they been insured.

Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury coverage is similar to Uninsured Motorist Coverage, but is designed to cover the gap between the other person's liability limits and the liability limit for

Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury Coverage that you select.

Uninsured Motorist Property Damage Coverage covers damages to your vehicle caused by someone who does not have insurance.

Medical Payments, Expenses and/or Benefits (Coverage for Your Injuries)

Medical Payments Coverage covers the cost of necessary medical care provided to you as a result of a motorcycle accident and applies no matter who is at fault. The coverage is often limited to medical care you get in the first one, two, or three years after the accident and is limited to a specific dollar amount. In some states, this coverage only applies after other medical insurance is exhausted.
